With myriad photo memories waiting to be discovered, you want quick and easy ways to locate the exact shot you’re looking for. Amazon Photos search makes it easy to find specific photos with just a few keywords. And all of this can happen by using the magnifying glass icon.
Ready to hone in and find even more specific photos? Follow these tips.
Tips for People, Places, and Things
People
Name the people in your photos to find them faster. From the Amazon Photos app open any photo with friends or family in it, and follow these directions:
Android
Navigate to Albums then People. Tap the person or people in your photo and provide their name using the pencil/edit icon.
iOS
Tap People at the bottom of the screen. Tap the person or people in your photo and provide their name using the pencil/edit icon.
From this point on, you can search for those you’ve tagged by name in the search bar.
Places
Amazon Photos also groups your photos by places you’ve traveled to. You can type location names into the search window. Try using the names of cities, and countries to re-visit photos from your favorite places.
Things
Things encompasses common physical objects, sure, but it also includes season specific search terms like Halloween (and all that suggests: pumpkins, candy, costumes). Have you created albums of photos? You can also use the search bar to find those: just type in the title of the Album you wish to see.
