Amazon Photos believes in the power of photography: to spark memories, share them with loved ones, and foster a broader understanding of the bonds that connect us all.

In 2021, we reached out to Seattle-based Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW), to explore how Amazon Photos could better support advocacy opportunities for photographers of all levels. In 2022, Amazon Photos and PCNW are thrilled to offer Photography as an agent of change: Six free workshops and public lectures that explore photography as a tool for advancement in areas of social justice, racial equity, disability, environmental justice, visual literacy, storytelling, and cross-cultural communications.

Workshops are free and intended to reach a broad audience: A limited number of spots will be available to the public with the remaining spots reserved for partner nonprofits and community groups. Participating teaching artists will hold free public talks to provide those unable to attend workshops an opportunity to benefit from key learnings.
